Jasper offering free summer meals for kids

Breakfast will be available at the Jasper Elementary School cafeteria from 7:30 until 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. The program begins on Tuesday, May 26th and will run through Friday, August 7th.

Lunch will be available at the Jasper Elementary School cafeteria from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. The program begins on Tuesday, May 26th and will run through Friday, August 7th.

Both of these meal periods are FREE and are open to any child 18 or under who is eligible for services.

Adult lunches are available for purchase for $5.00 per meal. The USDA does not allow an adult to share a child’s meal.

Reminders to keep everyone safe…

  • All meals must be consumed at the site unless the sponsor has authorized participants to leave a site with only one of the following meal components: fruit, vegetable or grain. 7 CFR 225.6(e)(15)
  • Individuals 19 and older may not consume or share any part of a child’s meal. 7 CFR 225.2
  • Only children ages 18 and under are served free meals. 7 CFR 225.2
  • Meals are only served during the published serving times. 7 CFR 225.16(3)(4)
  • Meal substitutions due to a life-threatening allergy or disability must be supported by a statement from a recognized medical authority that includes the required alternative foods. 7 CFR 225.16(3)(4)
  • Food left on a sharing table (where available) may only be eaten on site and only by children 18 and under. 7 CFR 225.15(b)
