Jasper Middle School to present ‘Matilda the Musical Jr.’

Miss Honey (played interchangeably by Dakota Jackson and Addison Randolph) and Matilda perform a duet during Thursday’s dress rehearsal.

Featuring a cast and crew of 120 sixth, seventh and eighth graders, the Jasper Middle School will present its production of Matilda the Musical Jr. on Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12, at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, April 13, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the JMS Auditorium.

Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book comes to life in this vibrant retelling of Matilda, a young girl whose imagination and love of learning are rejected by her unscrupulous parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wormwood. With encouragement from her teacher, Miss Honey, Matilda’s spunk takes her on a journey to create her destiny and thwart the heavy-handed Ms. Agatha Trunchbull with the help of a little magic.

Tickets are $6 at the door–please enter through Door 12.
