Jasper man LifeFlighted after single vehicle accident
A Jasper man was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center by helicopter due to injuries he sustained in a single vehicle accident near the intersection of Santine and Hall Creek roads Saturday.
Deputies found Chad A. Taylor, of West 43rd Street, on the ground next to the overturned 2005 Pontiac minivan when they responded to accident at about 2:45 p.m. Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services treated Taylor at the scene and then transported him to Memorial Hospital before he was transferred to St. Mary’s.
Taylor’s condition was unknown at the time the story was published.
According to deputies, it appears that the minivan went off the roadway along a curve on Santine Road. It went into a ditch and then overturned in a corn field.
Unsafe speed appears to have been a factor in the accident, according to deputies.
The van had about $8,000 in damages.
