Jasper man arrested for domestic battery and strangulation

On July 2, a Jasper man turned himself into police after they were called about a domestic battery.

Jasper Police responded to Arlington Court around 11 p.m. on Monday night when a caller notified them a female had been battered there. When police arrived the suspect, 29-year-old Branden A. Lauer, had left the scene, but later that night he turned himself in.

Lauer was charged with Domestic Battery (D Felony), Strangulation (D Felony), and Criminal Mischief (A Misdemeanor). He was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
