Jasper Library Board expresses interest in Country Club property proposal

The Jasper Library Board expressed some interest in the potential to build a new library at the Jasper Country Club property if the City of Jasper does purchase the land.

Attorney Bill Shaneyfelt told the board a representative with the city contacted him to inquire about the board’s potential interest.

“Basically, at this juncture, it’s understood that the only commitment that this board could make is that we’re willing to consider it,” Shaneyfelt said last night.

The Jasper Country Club is due to close at the end of the year. (More information here)
