Jasper HTC seeking volunteer coordinator

The Jasper HomeTown Competitiveness Initiative (JasperHTC) is seeking a volunteer to help coordinate this project.

In May of 2011, the City of Jasper was selected as one of five participants in the Indiana HTC program. This state-wide program is designed to help communities develop their strengths to improve the quality of life for all of its citizens.

The objects of JasperHTC:

~mobilize local leaders to build community civic capacity

~energize local entrepreneurs to build a strong economy

~encourage development through community service and wealth transfer

~attract your people to strengthen community demographics

~help families achieve social and economic success

~establish an open and caring environment where newcomers feel welcome

We are doing this through 6 pillars – each taking on their own identity – and each has its own chairperson and committee already established:

~Leadership ~Entrepreneurship ~Philanthropy ~Youth ~Families ~Inclusiveness
