Jasper-Dubois County Public Library offering pick-up services
The Jasper-Dubois County Public Library will be offering to-go services to pick up items on hold starting Monday, May 4, 2020, at all four branches.
Patrons are asked to reserve items by placing holds online (https://jdcpl.tlcdelivers.com) or by calling the library. Please limit the number of holds per person to 10. Once holds are gathered from the shelves, library staff will call patrons to pick up items. Items will be checked out by staff, put in a sealed bag with patron’s name and then be placed on a table outside the library’s front doors for pickup at their convenience. Please do not come until you receive a call from staff that your items are ready.
Hours will be limited for the first two weeks but then will increase to include evening and weekend hours until back to normal operating hours. There is no definitive date for when the library will be back to regular operations. We ask that patrons follow social distancing guidelines when picking up items.
Hours at each branch are as follows:
Jasper: Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Ferdinand: Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except Thursdays until 3:00 p.m.
Dubois: Monday-Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Birdseye: Tuesday and Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Please return any material via the library drop boxes. Due dates will be extended as needed. All items will be quarantined upon return following CDC recommendations for the protection of the public and the staff.
The library will also be able to offer document services like faxing, printing and copying via appointment starting Monday. Call the library for more details. Computer usage to electronically file documents will be available by mid-week by appointment once additional safeguard supplies arrive at library.
The library does have an expansive digital collection of materials that can be accessed at anytime on the library’s website. WiFi can be accessed at anytime in the areas outside of the libraries as well as the Jasper Library Annex.
