Jasper dealing with two water main breaks Wednesday morning (Updated)

The Jasper Municipal Water Department announced that repairs have been completed on both water main breaks.

A Boil Water Advisory is NOT in effect for either break. The city said there are no potential health effects.

If your water has discoloration, run the cold water tap for 15-20 minutes, or until it clears.

The Jasper Municipal Water Department is currently working on water main breaks on West Second Street by the Digestive Care Center and on 31st Street and Lakeside Drive in the Grassland Hills Subdivision.

The water may be turned off, or water pressure may be low while the repairs are being made. The anticipated time to restore service will be dependent upon the severity of the main break, which could take several hours to repair.

Communication will be updated as more information becomes available.
