Jasper Council hosting Mid-States Corridor meeting, Aug. 14

The public is invited to attend a special Jasper Common Council meeting on August 14, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.

The council has invited the Lochmueller Group to provide an update on the progress of the Tier 2 study, as well as representatives from the Mid-States Corridor Regional Development Authority and the Property Rights Alliance to speak on the corridor.

According to the city, following the Lochmueller update, the RDA and members of the public supporting the corridor will have 30 minutes to address the council.

Afterward, members of the Property Rights Alliance and the public who oppose the corridor will be given 30 minutes to address the council.

Both sides have been given 30 minutes to speak and there is no limit on the number of speakers within those 30 minutes.

The RDA and the Property Rights Alliance both plan to present resolutions to the council. According to the city, the council will not make any public decisions at the meeting; it is for informational purposes only.
