Jasper Consolidated School Corporation to hold first public forum Nov. 5

Greater Jasper Consolidated School District will hold its first public forum on November 5 at 6:30 p.m., at the Jasper High School Auditorium.

The A through F Accountability Grade from the state will be discussed. The A through F accountability Grade is a state metric that measures how well a school is doing. The metric looks at student performance  improvement, year-to-year growth in student learning, closing  student performance, improvement, closing achievement gaps, graduation rates, and opportunities for students to gain an early advantage on college and careers (like Advanced Placement courses and technical certifications).

The Substance Abuse Task Force will also present its findings and announce plans for tackling the identified substance abuse issue the surveys conducted by Indiana University have revealed. (Story here)
