Jasper Community Arts announces new attendance procedures and ticket policies

Jasper Community Arts announces the policies and procedures audiences can expect when live performances resume at the Jasper Arts Center.

“As we continue to navigate the uncertainty surrounding the current COVID-19 situation, Jasper Community Arts has taken a flexible, cooperative, and understanding approach to reopening and welcoming patrons back into our venue,” said Kyle Rupert, Director of Jasper Community Arts. “As excited as we are to offer live performances again, reopening guidelines from the state and industry best practices will alter how, and when, we experience these performances for the foreseeable future.”

Keeping the health and safety of staff, patrons, and artists in mind, Jasper Community Arts has implemented the following measures:

? Reduced seating capacity to ensure social distancing.
? No contact temperature checks will be required for artists, staff, and patrons.
? Masks will be required until patrons reach their seats.
? Doors will open one hour before each performance to eliminate waiting in the lobby.
? Hand sanitizing stations will be prominently displayed in public areas.
? Patrons are asked to self-monitor and to stay home if not feeling well. A self-screening questionnaire can be found on JCA’s website.

These policies are in line with emerging industry best practices and have been created with input from the Dubois County Health Department, the DC Event Task Force, and the Event Safety Alliance. As the situation continues to evolve, these and other policies are subject to change.

A complete listing of Jasper Community Arts’ COVID-19 guidelines and procedures can be found on their website, http://www.jasperarts.org.

Additionally, in order to reopen the Jasper Arts Center for live performances, temporary seating modifications have had to be implemented, reducing the overall capacity of the venue and preventing Jasper Community Arts from guaranteeing subscribers the same seat they have had in previous years.

Also, several of JCA’s originally scheduled fall concerts have been postponed and the status of future concerts remains fluid. In light of this, Jasper Community Arts will not be able to offer series subscriptions as they have in the past.

“We are still working on plans for smaller performances, if possible, this fall,” said Rupert. “Following the most up-to-date guidelines and regulations at the time of each event will be critical. As the situation changes, we will adapt as necessary.”

To provide as much flexibility as possible to patrons, JCA is implementing the following changes to its ticketing policy.

? All series subscribers from the 2019-2020 season will have their subscription status (and seats) carried over to the 2021-2022 season.
? Performances during the 2020-2021 season will be announced individually throughout the season.
? Tickets to performances during the 2020-2021 season will be sold exclusively over the phone by calling 812-482-3070 due to the unique seating arrangements implemented. At door ticket purchases will not
be available.
? Tickets will be honored for the new date for any performance rescheduled due to COVID-19. If you are unable to attend on the rescheduled date, please call our box office to discuss available options.

Jasper Community Arts appreciates the public’s cooperation and understanding. If you have any questions, you can contact the box office by calling 812-482-3070 Monday – Friday between 8:30 PM and 5:00 PM.
