Jasper to begin street rejuvination Tuesday morning
The Jasper Street Department and the contractor Rejuv Tec will begin the next phase of the annual pavement preservation project.
This rejuvenating project is scheduled to begin on Tuesday August 16, subject to weather conditions.
Here are the roads that will be treated.
- County Road 150 North between County Road 350 West and 400 West
- Kluemper Road from State Road 56 to Division Road
- Bartley Street from 13th to 15th streets
- 13th Street from MacArthur to Bartley streets
- Bartley Street from Sixth to Eighth streets
- Division Road from Wernsing Road to U.S. 231
- South Newton Street from Third Street to Veterans Bridge
- Howard Drive from 28th Street to the street’s new curb
- 28th Street from Newton Street to the road’s end
- Primrose Lane from Easy Street to the end of the cul-de-sac
- Reservoir Avenue from 16th to 17th streets
- 14th Street form Mill to Dewey streets
- Lechner Lane from Second Street to Andrew Lane
- Third Avenue from Justin Street to State Road 164
The schedule for the streets has not been determined yet. Residents will be notified the day before their street is to be treated. All motorists and residents should expect a few hours of road closure while the material applied dries.
The rejuvenating process is a clear sealer applied to the pavement which then dissipates into the pavement. Once applied, sand is then spread over the sealer which assists with the rejuvenating of the pavement. The sand will be removed the following day.
It is a faster process and virtually invisible compared to Liquid Road.
