Jasper Arts announces virtual ARTventures

Jasper Community Arts will host a virtual summer of fun with the arts.

A variety of workshops are available for kids, Kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as adults.

VIRTUAL ARTventures will be offered for six weeks this summer.  Workshops being offered virtually include Photography, Beginning Portrait Painting, Drawing to Paint, Drawing Hacks, Doodles- Drawing Games and Creative Fun, Sketch of the Week, Reuse-Recycle-Remake, Power of Portraits, S.T.E.A.M., and Advanced Drawing Hacks.  All virtual workshops will take place via Zoom.  In the days leading up to the start of the workshops, participants will be sent an email with a Zoom link to attend each workshop day.

Additional workshops will include Printmaking, Paper Beads, and Newspaper Upcycle Bowls.  These workshops will be offered in July at the Satellite Arts Space (located in the basement of the Jasper Pool, 1405 Bartley Street).  Physical workshops will consist of a limited amount of participants in order to ensure social distancing.

Please review each workshop for the location.  In the days leading up to each online class, the link will be sent out to each participant via email.  A suggested list of materials and supplies will be given to each participant.  Supplies will NOT be provided for virtual classes.

There will be NO WORKSHOPS for adults or kids the week of June 29th – July 3rd.

You may register online at jasperarts.corsizio.com, by phone, or by mail.  For additional information, please call the Jasper Arts Center at 812-482-3070 or visit our website, www.jasperarts.org for the registration form.
