Jared M. Knies, 31, Jasper

Jared M. Knies, 31, of Jasper, passed away at 1:12 a.m. on Monday, August 19, 2019, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. 

Jared was born in Jasper on July 11, 1988, to Rick and Teresa (Braunecker) Knies.  

Jared was employed by RideTech of Jasper. He enjoyed camping, hiking, graphic design and artwork, website design, and spending time with his new son and family. 

He is survived by one son Mason Knies; his significant other, Miranda Combs; parents Rick and Teresa Knies of Jasper; one brother, Kyle Knies (Lindsay) of Jasper; paternal grandparents, Linus and Margaret Knies of Jasper; maternal grandmother, Joan Braunecker of Jasper.   

Preceding him in death was his maternal grandfather, Donald Braunecker. 

Funeral services for Jared M. Knies will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow at a later date.  Fr. Eugene Schmitt will officiate.  

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to establish a fund for his son Mason Knies.
