Janice F. Kreitzer, 92, of Dubois, passed away at 1:20 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Brookside Village in Jasper.

Janice was born in Dubois on March 15, 1925, to Elmer and Cecelia (Arnold) Zehr. She married Wilmer G. Kreitzer on May 8, 1945, at St. Peter’s Church in Dubois, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on May 3, 2014.

Janice retired from the Dubois office of the U.S. Postal Service. She was a lifelong, active member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Dubois where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and was a member of the Women’s Guild. She sang with the Musical Belles. She enjoyed cooking, taking drives with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, Diana Terwiske (Butch) of Dubois, Mary Beth Lottes (Scott) of Haysville and Lisa Matheis (Nick) of Dubois; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death bbesidesher husband was one sister, Beulah Zehr and two brothers, Herschel Zehr, and Roger Zehr.

Funeral services for Janice F. Kreitzer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017, at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Dubois with burial to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Dubois. Rev. John Sterrett will officiate.

A visitation will be held from noon until 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m.service time at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ on Monday.
