Janet K. Schepers, 75, Jasper

Janet K. Schepers, 75, Jasper, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Evansville.

She was born in Alfordsville, Indiana on December 6, 1940, to Woodrow and Catherine (Burris) Truelove. She married Frederick A. Schepers on October 8, 1960. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2003.

She graduated from Loogootee High School and was a homemaker. She is a member of the Truelove Methodist church.

She is survived by one daughter, Kristi Highfill and husband Rob of English; three sons, Michael Schepers, Shawn Schepers and Dwayne Schepers, all of Jasper; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Austin, Steven, Zach, Kyanne, Keeley and Alyssa; one great-grandchild, Kylee; three brothers, Lester Truelove and wife Dianne of Loogootee, Roger Truelove of Loogootee, and Terry Truelove and wife Mary of Loogootee; two sisters, Cheryl Alvers and husband Ron of Evansville and Susie Holman of Shoals.

Preceded in death besides her husband is one daughter, Tammy; and four brothers, Virgil, Harold, Larry and Gerald Truelove.

Funeral services for Janet Schepers will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
