James V. Schreiber, 74

James V. Schreiber, 74, of Dubois, Indiana, passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper, Indiana.

James was born in Gary, Indiana on August 3, 1939 to Victor and Bertha (Hein) Schreiber.

He retired from Wabash Valley Produce in Dubois, Indiana.

He was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois, Indiana.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.

He is survived by one daughter, Karen Horn of Terre Haute; one son; Rodney Schreiber and his wife Regina, of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters; Wilma Lape of Rensselaer, Ind., Marilyn Massey and her husband Keith, of Dubois, and Carole Danford also of Dubois; one brother; Vernon Schreiber of Merrillville, Ind.

Preceding him in death are his parents.

Funeral services for James V. Schreiber will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at St. Raphael’s Church in Dubois, Indiana.
