James Logan Bird, 87, Hillham

James Logan Bird, 87, of Hillham, entered into eternal rest on June 27, 2021, at his residence.

He was born in West Baden Springs, Indiana on January 10, 1934, to Claude Bird and Helen (Henson) Bird.

He married Billie Roach on September 19th, 1965 and she survives.

James proudly served his country in the United States Army, retired from JSI and was a member of Peoples Tabernacle of French Lick.

He enjoyed painting, hunting and fishing.

James is survived by his wife, Billie Bird of Hillham; one sister, Annie Gougan of Colorado; several nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Jessie Goldman, June Curry, Sarah Jeanette Stone, Theda Cleveland, and a sister in infancy; four brothers, Joey Bird, Doug Bird, and twins, Marvin and Melvin in infancy.

A Graveside Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Randy Simmons on Friday, July 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Emmons Ridge Cemetery, French Lick, Indiana.
