James “Jim” David DeCoursey, 69

James “Jim” David DeCoursey, 69, of Huntingburg, passed away at 12:03 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at his residence.
He was born July 9, 1945 in Bicknell, Indiana, to Everett and Martha (Clemmons) DeCoursey. He married Damona Brown on May 8, 1976 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Lamar.
Jim worked as a radiology technologist at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg and then as a manufacturer’s representative for OFS Brands. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ where he served as a past church council president. He was a member of the Y.M.I. Club and Optimist Club and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jane DeCoursey.
He is survived by his wife, Damona DeCoursey of Huntingburg; a son, Greg (fiancé, Billie Wininger) DeCoursey of Vincennes; four daughters, Julia (Sherman) Kays of Vincennes, Kylie (Eric) Lauderdale of Huntingburg, Kelsey (Cory) Menke of Huntingburg and Morgan (Kyle) Rust of Huntingburg; one brother, Mike (Karen) DeCoursey of Bicknell; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services for Jim DeCoursey will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.
Friends may call for visitation at the funeral home from noon to 3:00 p.m. Sunday the day of the service.
