James J. “Jim” Schuler, 52

James J. “Jim” Schuler, age 52, of Ireland, Indiana passed away at 10:26 a.m. EDT on Sunday (August 11, 2013) at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana.
Jim was born on July 12, 1961 to Remus and Eileen (Lueken) Schuler. He married Marlene Bohnenkamper on June 20, 1987 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana.
Jim graduated from Jasper High School in 1979 and then from Vincennes University in 1981.
Jim was employed at Versteel for 22 years, and most recently at Kimball.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, and was a former member of the Jasper Jaycees.
He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed watching NASCAR, Indiana University basketball, St. Louis Cardinal baseball, and San Francisco 49’ers football. He also enjoyed coaching his daughters’ Ireland minor league softball teams and attending their sporting and school events. He took an interest in doing many home projects, and enjoyed spending time with his two dogs, Sophie and Max.

Funeral services for James J. “Jim” Schuler will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday (August 16, 2013) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
