James D. “Jim” Neely, 60, Jasper
James D. “Jim” Neely, 60, of Jasper, passed away at 10:42 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was a 1976 graduate of Dayton Christian High School and was a 1980 graduate of Cedarville College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree.
Jim previously was the News Director for WITZ and was a pastor at Grace Community Church.
He was a member of CrossPoint Fellowship Church.
He loved to write, listen to music, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Neely of Jasper; one daughter, Sarah (Evan) Bradshaw of Indianapolis; one stepdaughter, Amy (Shaun) Mehringer of Evansville; one stepson, Ryan (Dayna) Taylor of Jasper; four grandchildren, Ally, Kayden, Max, and Wyatt; his mother, Carol Neely of Terre Haute; two sisters, Janie (John) Street of Santa Clarita, Calif. and Patty (Dave) Zemmer of Terre Haute; one brother, Kenn (Julie) Neely of Evanston, Ill.
Preceding him in death are his father, James Neely, and one sister, Sandy Lewis.
Funeral services for James D. “Jim” Neely will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow at a later date.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel on Tuesday.
