James Alan Demuth, 59

James Alan Demuth, 59, of Ferdinand, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at his home.

James was born December 20, 1954 in Huntingburg to Othmar and Emmogyne (Wendholt) Demuth.

James worked for OFS. He was a member of St. Meinrad Knights of Columbus #5599; Ferdinand American Legion Post 124 Sons of American Legion; and St. Ferdinand Parish.

James enjoyed antique Oliver tractors and Beatles music.

James is survived by four brothers, Bob and wife Shirley, Rick and wife Paula, and John all of Ferdinand, and Charlie and wife Martha of St. Meinrad; two sisters, Pat Nordhoff and husband, Norbert, of Ferdinand and Angie Gogel and husband, Hilbert, of Mariah Hill.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 7-9:30 a.m. at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ferdinand Church. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
