Jakes Day: Intro to the outdoors

Over 300 kids participated in the second annual Jakes (Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics and Sportsmanship) Day held at OFS Brands Cool Springs facility near Velpen on Saturday.

The kids learned about shooting, archery, trapping, hunting safety, bow fishing, and other outdoor skills, as well as ethics and sportsmanship, at the event organized by the Patoka Valley LimbHangers, a local National Wild Turkey Federation group.
