Jada May Dunlap, 68, Allendale, Ill.

Jada May Dunlap, 68, of Allendale, Ill., passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023.

She was born Aug. 20, 1955, in Jasper, Ind, the daughter of Jesse William and Mary Katherine (Richardson) Polen.

She attended Jasper Elementary School and high school in Petersburg, Ind.

Jada worked for over 25 years as a cashier in local convenience stores. In her spare time, she enjoyed working on puzzles and being with her beloved dog, Ozzy. Jada liked spending time at the river, fishing, and four-wheeler riding. She was a St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan. She enjoyed watching wrestling and shopping the QVC network on television.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Jada leaves behind her son, Jeremy Cheesman, and wife Tracey; three grandchildren, Tommy Joe, Autumn Renee, and Ainsley Violet Cheesman; four great-grandchildren, Emmalee, Dante, Grayson, and Maverick; one brother, Dave Polen, and wife Wanda; and several nephews.

Jada was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Michael and William Polen.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11 a.m. until noon on Friday, November 10, 2023, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at noon, Friday, November 10, 2023, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg, Ind.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Jada’s memory to Wabash County Animal Shelter Buddies. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry St., Mt. Carmel, IL 62863.
