Jacob “Jake” Meyer, 21

Jacob “Jake” Meyer, 21, of Saint Anthony, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015, in Bloomington IU Health Hospital in Bloomington.

Jacob was born November 29,1993, in Huntingburg to Matthew L. & Sharon K. (Wagner) Meyer.

Jacob was in his junior year at Indiana University in Bloomington. He was a member of the graduating class of 2012 at Forest Park High School. He was an avid sports fan of IU basketball, Saint Louis Cardinal baseball, and the Indianapolis Colts. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and golf. Jacob was an organ and tissue donor.

He is survived by his parents, Matt & Sharon Meyer of Huntingburg; one sister, Kate Meyer and one brother, Aaron Meyer both of Huntingburg; maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Wagner of St. Anthony; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jake was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Wagner, and his paternal grandparents, Marie and Leo Meyer.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21,2015, at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand, and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
