Jackle running for re-election to Jasper School Board

Arlet Jackle, 42, is seeking re-election to the School Board of the Greater Jasper Consolidated School Corporation representing Boone Township. Jackle was appointed in December 2014, after Mike Braun’s resignation.

Jackle is married to John Jackle, a GJCS graduate. She has 4 children, Kathryn and Kylee Cleek, both gradutes of GJCS, Cali Jackle, who will be in Kindergarten at Ireland this fall and Jase Jackle who will enroll in 2 years.

Jackle is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Boone Township, Dubois County Emerging Leaders, and the Indiana Farm Bureau.

“I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating environment to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually and socially.” Jackle said. “Children are our future and one of the richest investments that we make.”

Jackle is a past coach of softball and soccer, a girl scouts leader, and PTO treasurer and secretary. She volunteers at GJCS as a substitute teacher and for Girls on the Run. She is the Director of the Ireland Public School Ministry and a 2015 graduate from the Dubois County Leadership Academy.

“I have dedicated my adult life to children. And, I believe that my 20 plus years of experience in education is important.” Jackle said. “I spend a great deal of time interacting with Greater Jasper students and staff and understand the challenges that teachers and students deal with on a daily basis. GJCS has amazing administration, teachers and staff and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them and hope to continue.”
