Jackle announces bid for another term on Greater Jasper School board
Arlet Jackle of Jasper will seek reelection to the Greater Jasper School Board District 2 seat in November.

Jackle has served on the board since 2014 when she was appointed to take State Rep. Mike Braun’s seat after his resignation.
Jackle, a Jasper High School graduate, is married to John Jackle. The couple has four children: Kathryn and Kylee Cleek — both graduates of Jasper High School, Cali Jackle, a third-grader at Ireland Elementary School, and Jase Jackle, who will be in first grade at Ireland Elementary School.
Jackle is a past coach of softball and soccer, a Girl Scout leader and PTO treasurer and secretary. She volunteers at Ireland Elementary School and for Girls on the Run. She is also a bus driver for Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools through one of the contractors. She owns Spell It Out Dubois County and is the co-owner of Jackle Farms Inc. She is also the director of the Ireland Elementary School Public School Ministry.
“I understand the importance of budgeting, money management and strategic planning and understand the importance of not having to raise taxes,” Jackle said. “I would like to continue to provide my experience and time to Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools.”
She explained she also understands the challenges parents, students and administrators will continue to face with the pandemic.
“I am here not only as a representative for Greater Jasper but also as a parent and a bus driver,” she explained. “I know that my background helps me to ask the right questions, obtain the facts, and listen objectively to various opinions, all to make the best-informed decisions for our children’s education; future and present.”
Jackle is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Boone Township, Dubois County Emerging Leaders and the Indiana Farm Bureau. She is also a 2015 graduate from the Dubois County Leadership Academy. She was born and raised in Tipton, California, a small Catholic farming community she said is similar to Ireland.
Jackle currently holds the seat for District 2 representing Boone Township and currently, no one has filed to run against her.
