Irma June Conrad, 89, Otwell

Irma June Conrad, 89, of Otwell, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019, in the Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg, Indiana. 

She was born at Otwell, Indiana on December 9, 1929, to William Oris and Ollie (Biggs) Elkins. She married Willis J. “Bill” Conrad on November 24, 1979, in Petersburg, Indiana.

Irma June Conrad was a certified nurse assistant for many years at Northwood Retirement Center in Jasper. She was a member of the Otwell United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her flowers around her home.

She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Conrad; son, Roger Dale Uppencamp (Donna) of Petersburg; three daughters, Marjorie Gayle Padgett (Don) of Winslow, Cynthia L. Wright of Velpen, Debra K. Wolf (Corbett R.) of Winslow; two stepdaughters, Gayle Lynn Conrad of Washington and Debbie Conrad of Vincennes; two stepsons, Tony Wayne Conrad of Otwell and William Neal Conrad of Washington; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is one son, Kenneth Michael Uppencamp; brothers, Carl Eugene “Lefty” Elkins, Howard, Kenneth and James Elkins; sisters, Anna Mae Malin and Marylou Elkins. 

Funeral services for Irma June Conrad will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, in the Otwell United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Otwell Cemetery. Pastor Corbett R. Wolf and Rev. Jeff Pinney will officiate. 

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2019, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
