Ireland Historical Society to host talk on the Revolution’s western front
The Ireland Historical Society will host a free history program on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1:30 p.m.
Eddie Price of Hawesville, Kentucky, will present two talks: “American Revolution in the West” and “The Last Battle of the American Revolution.” He will also cover George Rogers Clark’s campaigns and other frontier massacres.
Price is a retired history teacher who taught for 36 years. He is an award-winning author and a lifelong Kentucky resident.
The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
It will be held at the Ireland Historical Society Building on Walnut Street in Ireland.
The society’s next event, Tablescapes, is Nov. 27-28.
