Inez J Layton, 73, Citrus Springs, Fla.

Inez J. Layton of Citrus Springs, Fla., passed away on May 21, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family.

She was born on June 14, 1952, in Huntingburg to Dorothy and Charles Kelley Sr., both of whom have passed away.

She married Owen Layton on November 20, 2022.

She is survived by her loving husband, Owen; her fur baby, Daisy; daughter, Terri Poynter (Jason Howe); son, Scott (Angelic) Trusty; six grandchildren, Courtney, Destiny, Jade, Zach, Tyler and Abigail; eight great-grandchildren, Nylah, Tai, Dante, Conrad, Bailee, Finley, baby Charlie and Ezekiel; two sisters, Cathy (Dan) Arehart and Rose Schitter.

She is preceded in death by her son, Charlie Trusty; sisters Carol and Judy and brothers Buck, Don and Ray.

Per her wishes, cremation was chosen.

A memorial service will be held at a later date
