INDOT to hold public open house for a sidewalk installation project along State Road 56 in Dubois County

The Indiana Department of Transportation will hold a public open house for a sidewalk installation project along State Road 56 in Ireland.

INDOT is installing new sidewalks on both sides of State Road 56 through Ireland. Sidewalk on the south side of State Road 56 will run from North St. James St to County Road North 500 West. Sidewalk on the north side of State Road 56 will be installed from County Road North 500 West to Spud’s Food Mart.

What: Public Open House for State Road 56 sidewalk, crosswalk, and ADA curb installation construction project.

When: Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (EST).

Where: Saint Mary Church, 2829 North 500 West, Jasper, Indiana 47546

The public is invited to learn more about the proposed project and provide feedback to INDOT. This meeting is an open-house format and does not include a formal presentation.
