Indiana State Police busy with wrecks around Indianapolis

Indianapolis — Indianapolis troopers were kept busy overnight responding to requests for service and assisting motorists.

Trooper’s responded to 50 property damage crashes, 16 personal injury crashes and 43 slide off’s in the Indianapolis District which includes Marion, Hamilton, Hendricks, Johnson, Shelby, Hancock and Boone Counties.

Motorists are reminded to travel cautiously through this morning’s commute. Interstates are wet while secondary roads remain snow and slush covered. Allowing more stopping distance and reducing your speed can be very beneficial in these types of road conditions.
