Ida Thompson, 85
Ida Thompson, age 85, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 9:55 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2012 at her residence in Huntingburg.
She was born February 20, 1927 in Perry County, Indiana to Claude and Gladys (Brown) Huff. She married Calvin Thompson on July 19, 1947 in Petersburg, Indiana.
Ida formerly worked at General Electric and Dolly Madison Industries. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Huntingburg and the Dubois County Quilt Guild; and enjoyed camping and quilting.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Calvin Thompson, who died in 1979; one son, Rex A. Thompson, who died in 2012; five brothers – Lowell, William, Robert, Delmar and Elbert Huff; three sisters – Opal Borden, Rose Huff and Doris Houchin; and two grandchildren.
She is survived by:

- Gwen (Randy) Kilian – Huntingburg, IN

One sister,
- Elsie Abell – Huntingburg, IN
by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Ida Thompson will be held at 11:00 a.m., (E.S.T.), on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m., on Wednesday.
