Huntingburg woman arrested for several charges stemming from crash
Jasper Police arrested a Huntingburg woman for several charges after she crashed on Thursday.
Jasper police officers responded to a vehicle running off the road on the 300 block of Meridian St. at around 10:30 p.m. When the officers arrived they found 21-year-old Kami L. Hopster, of Huntingburg, unconscious in the vehicle. Officer woke her and determined she was intoxicated but she refused to submit to a chemical test.
Officer charged her with OWI (Class D Felony), Driving While Suspended (Class A Misdemeanor) and Disorderly Conduct (Class B Misdemeanor). She was also cited for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility and Unsafe Lane Movements.
Hopster was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department and EMS assisted on scene.
