Huntingburg to unveil plans for Market Street Park and Heritage Trail Wednesday

The City of Huntingburg is hosting a public meeting to present design concepts for two Stellar Community projects, the 4th Street Heritage Trail and Market Street Park, on Wednesday, June 17, at 6 p.m. at Old Town Hall, 309 N. Geiger Street.

The concepts will be presented by Taylor Siefker Williams Design Group.

“I want to encourage every Huntingburg resident to attend this presentation, as it is an excellent opportunity for people to see the concepts and offer comments about the future of their downtown,” says Huntingburg Mayor Denny Spinner. “This has been a work in progress since we received the Stellar Community designation last August, and I’m excited to hear what residents think about the designs.”

Sub-committees for each project have been meeting with the design firm since January. Two public meetings with 4thStreet property and business owners were also held to collect feedback about elements of each design.
