Huntingburg police still searching for a third suspect in Louisville murder
Update — Huntingburg Police Chief Art Parks reported that area law enforcement agencies are still searching for a male suspect involved in the shooting death of 17-year-old Darius J. Miller.
According to Parks, the department has raided four houses since Monday in search of the third suspect.
He declined to identify the suspect at this time.
The two other suspects, Destiny Trusty and Kyle Chambers, have been extradited to face charges in Louisville.
Huntingburg — In the continuing investigation of a murder that occurred in Louisville early Sunday morning, Huntingburg police have arrested 18-year-old Destiny L. Trusty of E. 17th Street, Huntingburg.
According to police, they received an arrest warrant for Trusty for the charge of murder Monday morning.
Officers searched for Trusty for several hours before receiving a phone call that she wanted to turn herself in. Trusty met with officers at an undisclosed location where she was advised of the warrant and a confirmation call was made which showed the warrant was active.
Trusty was then placed under arrest and transported to the Huntingburg Police Department for processing and then to the Dubois County Security Center for further processing and to await extradition to Louisville, KY.
Huntingburg officers were assisted by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
This is second arrest due to the ongoing investigation into the shooting of 17-year-old Darius Miller Jr. Officers arrested Kyle J. Chambers, 22, of N. Shelby Street, Huntingburg, early Sunday morning.
Police are seeking one other individual implicated in the murder.

Huntingburg police arrested Kyle J. Chambers, 22, of N. Shelby Street, Huntingburg, for a murder that occurred overnight in Louisville.
According to authorities, the Huntingburg Police Department received a tip that Chambers had been involved in the murder of a juvenile in Louisville. Officers contacted the Louisville Metro Police to confirm the details of the investigation.
According to the Louisville Metro Police, Chambers was a suspect in the murder of Darius Miller Jr., 17, that had occurred earlier Sunday morning. Louisville officers had been called to a business parking lot near the intersection of 35th and Broadway Streets for the report of an individual lying there. Police located Miller, who had been shot, and he was taken to University Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
During the investigation, Louisville Metro Police determined Chambers was a suspect in the shooting death.
Huntingburg police, the Dubois County Emergency Response Team and the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department responded to Chambers’ residence at 702 N. Shelby where the emergency response team took him into custody without further incident.
Chambers is currently being held at the Dubois County Security Center on warrant for the shooting death of Darius Miller Jr.
