Huntingburg Police Department holding Citizens Firearm Safety Course

The Huntingburg Police Department is hosting a Citizens Firearm Safety Course for members of our community interested in learning safe and responsible firearm handling practices.

This course will be taught by law enforcement firearms instructors and will cover:

• Firearm safety fundamentals
• Safe handling and storage
• Basic firearm operation
• Situational awareness and responsibility
• Range safety and live-fire instruction

Location: Huntingburg Police Department & Huntingburg Firearms Range; Date/Time: July 23, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and July 25, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Cost: $30

Participants will be required to complete a background check prior to attending the course.
