Huntingburg pair release ‘The Singin’ Bug Man’
A new independent country music release is bringing together two people with deep connections to Huntingburg and Southern Indiana.
“The Singin’ Bug Man,” performed by Huntingburg country artist David Wayne, was written with former Huntingburg Scout Master Roger Hunter. The song draws inspiration from Wayne’s unique dual career as both a country singer and owner of a local extermination business.
Hunter and Wayne recently completed a professional studio recording of the song with an experienced production team, transforming the idea from a simple lyric into a fully produced country music release.
For Hunter, the project represented the realization of a longtime songwriting dream.
For Wayne, it provided an opportunity to record a song built around a character and profession he knows firsthand.
The result is an authentic country song rooted in real life, hard work, humor, and the everyday experiences that connect with working people throughout Southern Indiana and beyond.
“The Singin’ Bug Man” is now available on major streaming platforms.
