Huntingburg Merchants annual Daffodil Stroll offering two days of family activities
Weekend event features shopping, dining, Easter Bunny appearances and children’s activities on April 4-5
The Huntingburg merchants are gearing up for the annual Daffodil Stroll, a two-day spring celebration featuring shopping, dining, family activities and Easter-themed events throughout downtown Huntingburg.
The event runs Friday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering residents and visitors multiple opportunities to enjoy seasonal festivities.
Friday’s activities include all-day shopping and dining options at local businesses, with special games available throughout the downtown area. Visitors can also vote in a Baby Photo Contest at Bean to Sprout, either in-store or online.
Igloo rentals will be available throughout the day on Friday, with cookie decorating and canvas painting activities offered inside. The event transitions to evening entertainment with “Hoppy Hour” from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., featuring live music and sweet treat vendors.
Saturday expands the festivities with a full day of family-oriented activities. Shopping, dining, and games continue from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., along with igloo rentals and activities. The Baby Photo Contest voting remains open until the winner announcement.
Face painting will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Kylie Schepers Photography will offer photo mini-sessions from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A highlight of Saturday’s schedule is the Bunny Stroll at 12:30 p.m., where the Easter Bunny will lead children down 4th Street to collect sweet treats from local shops and restaurants.
Market Street Park serves as a hub for several key events on Saturday, including an Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. sponsored by Destination Huntingburg. Bean To Sprout will sponsor an Easter Story at 1:30 p.m. and a Fashion Show at the park at 2 p.m.
Live music will entertain visitors from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and the Baby Photo Contest winner will be announced live on the “Strolling In Huntingburg” Facebook page during this time.
The Daffodil Stroll represents a significant spring tradition for Huntingburg merchants, combining shopping opportunities with seasonal celebrations that appeal to families and visitors of all ages.
