Huntingburg Mayor’s Youth Council seeking donations for Community Garden

The Huntingburg Mayor’s Youth Council is set to begin constructing a community garden next to Veterans Parkway this spring.

The Youth Council would like to have tools and supplies on hand for community members to use in the garden and is seeking donations to support its efforts.

They are seeking the following items:

  • Rakes
  • Shovels
  • Trowels
  • Watering Cans
  • Gardening Gloves
  • Pruning Shears
  • Wheel Barrows
  • and Spades

Any of these items can be dropped off on Saturday, March 2, and Sunday, March 3, at the following locations:

  • In front of Huntingburg City Hall, in a labeled bin
  • St. Marys Huntingburg
  • The Way Stendal
  • Salem United Church of Christ
  • Huntingburg United Methodist Church
  • Redemption Jasper
  • House of Prayers Ministries
