Huntingburg launches new website

Huntingburg – The City of Huntingburg has launched its redesigned website, www.huntingburg-in.gov.  The website was created in a joint effort between the City and eGov Strategies, an Indianapolis-based web services provider.

“The website is a direct response to our residents’ request for more communication with the City of Huntingburg, and it is going to be very useful in getting information to them in a timely manner,” Huntingburg Mayor Denny Spinner said.

In August 2012 the city hosted a series of “listening sessions,” and the desire for improved communication was a top priority identified by residents who attended the sessions.

The website features information about the various departments throughout the city, including business hours and contact information.

An events calendar features the dates and times for every meeting held by the City, and an interactive “I Want To” section provides the opportunity to search for a document, ask a question, find a local business and report an issue, along with other action items.

In addition to meeting local needs, the enhanced website will serve as an economic development tool for the City.

“The website is our new front door and potential businesses and residents looking to locate in Huntingburg will have a positive image of what our City represents,” says Mayor Spinner.  “I truly feel our new website is a very accurate portrayal of the positive spirit in our community.”
