Huntingburg firm announces new partner
The accounting firm of Peter F. Murphy, CPA announced a new partnership and named change.
The company has changed its name to Murphy+Blesch Certified Public Accountants, LLP with the addition of new partner, Karen S. Blesch, CPA, CFP® .
“We’re excited to have Karen as a Partner” said Peter F. Murphy CPA. “Her experience in working with small to medium sized businesses in the areas of software implementation, accounting, tax, and payroll greatly enhances the services we provide to our clients. Her background in financial services also expands that area of our practice.”
Mrs. Blesch has over 25 years of experience in accounting and management in multiple industries and in financial advisory services with licenses as a CPA, registered investment advisor, and life and health insurance agent, as well as certification in financial planning. She specializes in physician practice management and accounting with over 15 years experience in this field alone. Her extensive work in industry makes her uniquely qualified to offer CFO Services to small and mid-sized businesses.
Karen Blesch graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Mary of the Woods College with a double major in Accounting and Business Administration. She has served in several volunteer roles for St. Mary of the Woods College including as a Director on the National Alumnae Board of Directors. She is a Board Member for the Evansville Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. She is the daughter of Norma and the late Lawrence Steffen of Jasper, and resides near Huntingburg with her husband, Scot.
