Huntingburg Farmer’s Market opens this Saturday

The Huntingburg Farmer’s Market will opens this Saturday and will run June 2 to October 13. It opens at 7:30 a.m. each Saturday during the  season.

Optimal Performance Chiropractic, LC is a new sponsor of the Huntingburg Farmer’s Market. “Optimal Performance Chiropractic are a wonderful partner and will be extremely helpful in supporting fresh, local and health choices that the Farmer’s Market provides,” Executive Director Nick Stevens said.

The Chamber is also inviting anyone who plays an instrument to come to opening day to participate in a jam session from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Some items available at the Market this week include leeks, carrots, apple bread, blueberries, green bell peppers, jams, jellies, homemade soaps and organic pork products. Free coffee will also be available starting at 7:30 a.m.

The Huntingburg Farmer’s Market will be in the Memorial Gym parking lot at 6th and Main Streets. Special events will be featured throughout the Market season. These include chef demonstrations, seminars with Purdue Extension Service, Kids Game Day, and Kid’s Craft Day. Sign up at the Host Tent to receive weekly e-mail updates and the Market’s newsletter.
