Huntingburg Farmer’s Market Opens July 2nd; Events added for the 2011 Season.

The market will run from July 2nd to October 15th. We are proud to welcome a new sponsor of the Huntingburg Farmer’s Market the Waters of Huntingburg.

“The Waters of Huntingburg are a wonderful partner and will be extremely helpful in supporting fresh, local and health choices that the Farmer’s Market provides,” says Nick Stevens, Executive Director.

July 4th Weekend means family and community celebrations and the Huntingburg Farmer’s Market invites you to join them for their Opening Day celebration. Anyone who plays an instrument is invited to join in on the jam session from 10:00 to 11:30.

Free coffee donated by the Overtime will be available starting at 7:30 AM. Hasenour Organic Farms will be on hand to grill up some of their natural pork brats starting at 7:30 AM. Some items available at the Market this week include leeks, carrots, apple bread, blueberries, green bell peppers, jams, jellies, homemade soaps and organic pork products.

This year’s Huntingburg Farmer’s Market will again be at Memorial Gym parking lot at 6th and Main Streets and will feature events taking place throughout the Market season. These include chef demonstrations, seminars with Purdue Extension Service, Kids Game Day, and Kid’s Craft Day.
