Huntingburg driver places at ROADEO competition
City of Huntingburg Transit driver, Suzanne Patberg, recently competed in the Indiana Council on Specialized Transportation (INCOST)’s 24th annual Transportation ROADEO.
Patberg finished in fourth place. Thirty-one transit drivers from across Indiana participated in the day-long competition held on Saturday, April 18, 2015.
During the ROADEO, drivers are judged on driving skills, passenger assistance techniques, safety inspection completion, and written test scores. This was Patberg’s second time participating in the competition.
The Indiana Council on Specialized Transportation (INCOST), a non-profit organization composed of transportation professionals, works to promote safe and efficient transportation services.
The Huntingburg Transit runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost is $1 one-way and $2 for a round trip. The transit system provides rides for all ages throughout Huntingburg. To schedule a ride, please call City Hall at 683-2211.
