Huntingburg Chamber awards Stellar Committee with Golden Leaf award.

The Huntingburg Chamber of Commerce presented the Stellar Committee with the Golden Leaf Award during the 22nd Annual Membership Luncheon on June 9, 2016.

Every year the Chamber presents a Golden Leaf Award to an individual or group in recognition and appreciation of their services to the interest and development of the City of Huntingburg. 

The Stellar Steering Committee began meeting in April 2014 to assist in the preparation of the City of Huntingburg’s “Stellar Communities” strategic investment plan. The committee is comprised of individuals who represent various constituencies in the community.

The City received the “Stellar Communities Designation” in August 2014, and since that time, the committee has been meeting monthly to help plan, monitor and oversee the various components of the Stellar projects. The Lofts of St. Joseph, the 4th Street Water Line replacement project and Market Street Park are just a few of the many projects slated for the community in the next several years.

Members of the committee include: Phil Ahrens, Kerry Blessinger, Ed Cole, Ed Curtin, Lisa Gehlhausen, Paul Lake, Vickie Lewis, Cory Menke, John Mundy, Mayor Denny Spinner, Rachel Steckler, Nick Stevens, Cathy Young, Ron Taylor, Scott Siefker and Jane Hendrickson.
