Hugh Carlisle, Jr., 80

Hugh Carlisle, Jr., 80, of Winslow, passed away at 9:18 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2015, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born November 1, 1934 in Pike County to Hugh Carlisle, Sr. and Almeda (Doetker) Carlisle. Mr. Carlisle was a carpenter, metalwright, and auctioneer. He enjoyed working and had a strong work ethic. Hugh was a member of the Carpenter’s Local #758 out of Indianapolis; enjoyed boating and fishing; and was an avid deer hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Fred Carlisle and Larry Carlisle; and three sisters, Patty Krampe, Carol Sue Carlisle and Kaye Drury.
He is survived by his wife, Joan D. [Murray] Carlisle of Winslow; two daughters and two son-in-laws, Rhonda (Mark) Green of Winslow and Jennifer (Tom) Ebbinghouse of Indianapolis; one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel (Cella) Carlisle of Indianapolis; three brothers, Hank Carlisle of Winslow, Irving Carlisle of Tucson, Ariz. and Don Allen Carlisle of DeRidder, La.; two sisters, Dee Warner of Winslow and Phyllis Crooks of Winslow; and by nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Hugh Carlisle, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Cup Creek Cemetery in Pike County. The Rev. Terry Beadles will officiate at the funeral.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
