Howard Henry Harner, 87, French Lick

Howard Henry Harner, 87, of French Lick, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2021, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare in Jasper.

He was born in Martin County, Indiana on July 22nd, 1933 to Roscoe Harner and Clara (Lagenour) Harner.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold and Ralph Harner; one sister, Louise Daugherty; his companion of 17 years, Crystal Cain.

Howard was an extremely proud US Navy veteran who fought in the Korean War.

Howard is survived by two sons. David Harner (Lisa) of French Lick and Brent Harner (Penny) of French Lick; two grandsons, Thomas Harner of Los Angeles, Calif. and Landon Harner of French Lick; sister-in-law, Betsy Harner of Bloomington; companion, Dorothy Glover of Salem; nephew, Kevin Harner (Elizabeth) of Swayzee, Ind.; three nieces, Shirley Daugherty of French Lick, Rita Daugherty of Celestine, and Kara Hamm (Doug) of Bloomington.

Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
