Howard Lytton, 72

Howard B. Lytton, Jr., age 72, of Jasper, Indiana, formerly a resident of Huntingburg, passed away at 11:20 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2011 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born December 24, 1938 in Cannelton, Indiana to Howard B. Lytton, Sr. and Martha (Layton) Lytton and was raised as a youth and grew up in Petersburg, Indiana. Howard was a retired attorney and Superior Court Judge. He was a member of the Huntingburg United Methodist Church, the Winslow Masonic Lodge #260 F&AM, and the Jasper American Legion where he formerly served on the American Legion Post House Committee. He was a former member of the Dubois County Young Democrats where he served as the 8th Congressional District Young Democrat chairman, was past president of the Dubois County Bar Association, was a former member of the Indiana State Police Board, and served in the United States Army Reserves.

and (7) grandchildren.

Funeral services for Howard B. Lytton, Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on Wednesday, August 31st at the Huntingburg United Methodist Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at the Garden of Memories in Gentryville, Indiana. The Jasper American Legion Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday; the evening’s visitation will conclude at 7:00 p.m. at which time the Winslow Lodge #260 F&AM will conduct a masonic memorial service. Visitation will also be held prior to the funeral at the Huntingburg United Methodist Church from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Wednesday morning.
