Home Instead and Downtown Dog host dog wash-athon fundraiser for Alzheimer’s

The Home Instead Senior Care staff will hold a Dog Wash-athon fundraising event for the Alzheimer’s Association this Saturday at Jasper’s Downtown Dog,611 E. 6th St.

For a minimum donation of $10 per dog, community members can bring their dirty/smelly dogs in for a bath at Downtown Dog’s self-serve bathing stations, and the Home Instead Senior Care staff will do the dirty work for them!

The event will start at 10 a.m. and go to to 1 p.m. Downtown Dog  is located near the old Summer Ice stand on the Riverwalk.

Each participant will also receive a Dirty Dog Card (loyalty card program) and their first punch toward a free bath at Downtown Dog.

Community members need to bring proof of rabies vaccination for each of their dirty dogs.
